Sitting at work filling in lunch, so I figure I'll do this meme

4. How long have you been in the BJD hobby?
Almost 2 years (I've had Bella 2 years in about a month)

5. Do you RP? If so, who is/was your favourite person to RP with?
Yep, I've started recently, previously I'd just written full stories myself, but in the past few months I've started a storyline with seijikat and I'm currently in the process of starting another with Nezumi-chuu and one with syrinxfox down the track. For non-publishable fun though I also quite regularly do a bit of gchat RP with Flayrah and a little bit of note exchanging with FallMoonlitRose
I don't like to play favourites, everyone is pretty great so far. :3

6. Who is/was your favourite character to RP with?
Hmm, I'm not sure if I have one really, Bella, Liz and Cade are all pretty fun to RP with in their own ways. Byrne is a lot harder because he has such odd motivations. I'm still kinda finding my way with Rose.

7. How many dolls have you ever sold?
None, and I have no intention to sell any of them, I think if I ever did then it would only be to replace them with something that better suited the character.

8. Out of all of those, who do you miss the most?
N/A

9. What is your favourite thing in this hobby?
The customisation is a whole lot of fun, being able to make changes to make them exactly how I want them to be is too good to pass up. Apart from that though I've made a lot of great friends that I never would have met otherwise, so I'm very grateful for that.

10. Who is the first BJD that ever entered your house/that you ever saw in real life?
Um, the first I saw in real life would have been Annie's Kuja at an EGL meet that I went to, I actually can't remember what he is except that he's a "boy" who looks exactly like a girl in every way, which I never quite saw the point of, so I don't think I was too excited about them back then, and I probably thought they were stupidly expensive.

11. Who is the first BJD you ever fell in love with?
While I liked Ophelia and Phoenix when Mon got them I think the first doll in our house that I really loved and still do is Charlie, she's so ridiculously adorable, if I ever have a real kid they have to be at least that cute. *shakes fist at them*

12. What is the most you've spent on a doll (the actual doll itself)?
All my 70cm dolls (everyone except Rose) cost a roughly similar amount, but at the time I think because of the exchange rate Liz possibly cost me the most as Fairyland didn't drop their prices like everyone else did. After exchange and shipping I think that she was about $1100AUD. (about $900something USD in today's monies)

13. What is your favourite photoshoot/photo you ever took of any of your dolls?

This photoshoot I was really happy with, I wanted to do some previews of Byrne and just plopped him down and tried some ideas and they both worked so well I was very impressed with myself. XD

14. What is your funniest memory with any of your dolls?
Uh... I don't know, I'm sure there's heaps of stuff I'm forgetting, but the whole process of unpacking Cade was pretty amusing, he looked like a freaky mummy in his box and they gave me the cutest little note along with some extras.

15. What is your saddest memory with any of your dolls?
Probably breaking Bella's finger the first time, being my first doll and the only one I had at the time I was a little concerned that I'd have to stick it back on and deal with it, but thankfully I was able to order new hands and fix her up properly.

16. Have you ever had a dream about your doll? If so, what was it about?
Um, no I don't think I have actually. But I don't remember many of my dreams past the first minute or two, so I probably couldn't tell you even if I did.

17. Which BJD out of yours would you never sell in a million years?
Any of them? Honestly I can't imagine selling any of them, but if for some reason I could only have one, I don't think I could ever part with Bella, but the thought of losing any of the rest makes me very sad too.

18. Name one thing that makes you irked in the BJD hobby.
Probably the whole social manoeuvring and popularity vs skill thing. I mean I know most people would like to be appreciated, but too much thought goes into status amongst the community. As long as I'm happy with the stuff I'm doing and I can share it with the people I like and respect them I'm satisfied.

19. Would you ever consider "leaving" the hobby?
Not really, but I guess I don't take all that stuff so seriously as some other people do, so it doesn't really get to me. I consider the actual hobby separate the the fandom or the drama though. The hobby isn't about all that to me, it's about me and my dolls and characters.

20. Who is the newest character you've thought up?
Newest character is Rainier, he's a vampire bouncer at Liz's club and is involved in my story with seijikat, but my newest character in doll form is Rose.
